The notice lists NOTIFIER FWSG, Fire-Lite W-GATE, Gamewell-FCI VW-GATE, Honeywell XLS-WSG, and Johnson Controls JFWSG, with affected date codes from October 13, 2014 through December 15, 2016.
Known issue
CPSC says smoke detectors connected through an affected gateway could fail to activate properly when significant environmental contaminants were present.
Remedy
The published remedy was to contact Honeywell for a firmware update to the affected SWIFT wireless gateway. Verify the gateway model, date code, and current firmware before determining whether a system remains affected.
